Central Park
Central Park

Central Park is amazing, and quite far removed from any traditional cruise-ship experience.  Other than the possibility of catching a seagull soaring high overhead, you'd never know you were on the ocean.  After Oasis arrived in Florida a massive team went to work "planting" Central Park with over 12,000 plants and trees.  Final touch-ups were still being applied while we were onboard, but overall the impact is quite stunning.  Three decks above the Royal Promenade, Central Park spans the entire space between the forward and aft elevator lobbies on Deck Eight.

Initially the "Crystal Canopies" catch your eye.  These oval shaped metal and glass structures provide shade, and will also provide cover in case of rain.  Near one end is the fully enclosed canopy for the Rising Tide bar.  Step onto the bar here and slowly glide down to the Royal Promenade.  Around the edges of Central Park are some of the finest dining and shopping venues onboard Oasis.

At the top of the list is 150 Central Park, the exclusive specialty restaurant.  Chops Grill, a traditional steak house offering quality meats in an upscale, contemporary setting.  Giovanni's Table features Tuscan influences such as pizzas, braised meats and stews in a casual Italian eatery.   Park Cafe, another casual restaurant, offers freshly prepared salads, sandwiches & paninis, crepes and hearty soups.  Vintages, a popular spot on other Royal Caribbean ships, is a wine bar complete with a selection of cheeses and a full tapas menu.  Underneath one of the Crystal Canopies you'll find the Trellis Bar.  Retail shopping in Central Park include the Parkside Gallery with original artworks, Picture This  portrait studio and the Coach store.
